 The Gathering Place Ministries  was planted in Metter, Georgia in 2011. Pastor Walthour was lead by God to start the congregation there in this small community because of a need to reach souls and impact the community in way that transcends the traditions of "church". I feel blessed and excited to be planting a second location in Statesboro at the Parkwood Conference Suites on 12188 Highway 301.  Feeling the press from the Lord for the past two years to expand to Statesboro, he felt the pull from the Lord to move. Pastor Walthour believes this ministry will touch and reach many people, they will be blessed by the Word God has given him, and lives will be changed.

The Gathering Place Ministries Statesboro is going to be different from the “Traditional Church.” Pastor Bobby says the Gospel has the power to transform lives. His vision is to have a Ministry that allows individuals to experience “Religious Freedom,” through a personal “Relationship” with God. “We are just going to minister and allow God to be God.” He believes that peoples lives will be tremendously and drastically changed, simply by the Power and Manifestation of the “Simple Truth” of God’s Word.
