The Gathering Place Ministries, LLC

The Gathering Place Ministries, LLC began operation in July 2014, under the leadership of our Senior Pastor, Founder and visionary Chief Executive Officer Bobby Walthour Jr. Our primary focus was Evangelism and Community Outreach through our church The Gathering Place Ministries. These efforts extended through radio broadcast, social media, and print media. Following the vision established by God, in January of 2021 we became a 501 c3 Non-Profit organization; and our outreach continues through The Gathering Place Academy which opened in November of 2021 which is one of many phases of the Vision.

Our Mission:

The Gathering Place Ministries, LLC follows the Great Commission to evangelize the unsaved by proclaiming of the Gospel of the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ by providing spiritual support and education to believers in manners consistent with the requirements of Holy Scripture both in the Sunday, Weekday Services, and our schools of Christian Education; and the maintaining of missionary activities and outreach locally in the United States and abroad. As a 501 c3 organization we are afforded great opportunities to extend the Great Commission under the auspices of community outreach, food and clothing drives and pantries.

The Gathering Place Academy is our conduit for meeting our educational endeavors, goals and objectives for our school age youth and community childcare needs. We strive to be productive and environmentally conscientious citizens through youth and adult education, career pathway programs, family and ancillary support, resources, and job opportunities.

Our goals for our children are:

To develop a positive wholistic view of themselves through God’s eyes.
To develop a love of learning.
To develop a love and kindness for people of all backgrounds and ethnicities.
To develop the basic skills preparing them for their next level of learning and beyond.
To develop a sense of self-confidence, self-esteem, and academic progress.
To develop their skills in these areas: language, communication, writing, spelling, reading, mathematics, science, music, art, gross and fine motor skills, health, and playing.

Our objectives are:

To foster good stewards of God’s earth and productive citizens.
To hire and retain well-qualified, creative, and caring staff.
To provide a loving, safe, and nurturing learning environment throughout the Academy.
To maintain proven measurable gains in test scores for our students in all grade levels.
To provide a village of support for the family outside of our Childcare Resources.
